Canon PIXMA iP4200 Resetting how to reset
1.Observe the indicator light on your printer to make sure it flashes eight times consecutively. This means you are experiencing error 1700, the Waste Ink Nearly Full Error.
2.Press the “Resume/Cancel” button on the printer to reset the error. You will also be able to finish the print job that you were performing when the error occurred.
3.Press the “Power” button on your printer if the error doesn’t automatically reset. Disconnect the data cable from the printer and unplug the printer’s power cord for 10 minutes.
4.Reconnect the data cable and power cord and turn the printer back on. The Waste Ink Error will be fully reset.
5.Find the closest Canon service store in your area (see Resources section) to fix the problem with the built-in waste ink absorber that is causing the error.
