Dell 1355CN Printer Review

Overview
The Dell 1355cn is a laser printer that also has the capacity to copy, scan and fax. Despite all of that additional functionality, this printer is still quite small. To have that many ways to use a printer that takes up such a small amount of space is very nice, and that is one of the things we like best about this printer. It doesn’t have as many bells and whistles as some of the larger, more expensive laser printers on the market, but it performs its intended functions more than adequately for a very reasonable price. As always, there are a couple of things we don’t like about this printer, and we are going to look at those, First, though, we’re going to take a closer look at some of its pros.
Pros
One of the things we like best about this printer is its duty cycle. The duty cycle of the Dell 1355cn is 30,000 pages per month. For those of you unfamiliar with the term “duty cycle” in the evaluation of the performance of printers, it is worth understanding. In a nutshell, the duty cycle of a printer is the number of pages it can print in a one month time span without overheating or experiencing any serious technical problems. As you can see, for home and small business use, thirty thousand pages should be more than enough. If you need to print more than that, you are most likely a big enough business to own multiple printers anyway.
Another thing we like about the Dell 1355cn is the multi-functional capability which we mentioned earlier. Most people don’t need to send (or receive) very many faxes (or make many copies) at home, but when the need arises, you’ll be able to! The scanner, on the other hand, is something you’re likely to use a great deal. Any printed pictures you have (or are given) can now be converted into digital formats which can then be easily shared with friends and family members via email and Facebook. Plus, because of the printer’s WiFi capability, you will be able to easily network it with all of the other devices in your home.
Cons
There are two cons we have noticed about the Dell 1355cn. First, it’s slower than most other laser printers. Second, the paper tray only holds one hundred sixty pages. Of course, if you’re just printing things at home from time to time, neither of those factors should matter anyway.
